Who it is for
International members working in Finland or holding a job offer. EU citizens can skim the permit pages. The tax, Kela and pension pages apply to everyone.
The situation you work through
Priya, a data analyst from Pune, arrives in Helsinki for a job at Nordlight Oy and sorts her permit, registration, bank, tax card and Kela card in order, then reads her first payslip and pension record.
Your practice task
Write your own arrival checklist: your right to work in one sentence, your permit end date with two reminders (or the registration step that applies to you), your arrival jobs in the right order with the official site that confirms each, and a yearly income estimate for your tax card with the calculation shown. Submit the sentence, the ordered list with dates and sites, and the estimate plus one sentence on what you checked on an official site. Leave out ID and permit numbers.
