Simpler English in courses and across the portal
Most members read English as a second or third language, so we rewrote 162 course pages that read harder than upper-intermediate (B2) English: shorter sentences and common words, with the same facts and terms. Every course page now has to pass the same readability check before it goes live. We also went through the portal screens, notifications and emails and replaced idioms like "keep your network warm" with plain words. If a page or screen still reads hard, tell us in Feedback and name the page.

Chats open on your first unread message
When you open a chat with unread messages, it now lands on the first new message with the New line at the top, instead of jumping to the newest message and hiding what you missed. This also works on mobile with a long backlog.

Job skills in demand: rank and movement, without the clutter
Open Career and tap Job skills in demand. The Most mentioned list now shows only the rank and the skill name, with the movement since last month next to the rank (places up or down, or New). The Trending list uses the same layout. The raw mention count still shows on each skill's own page, where it is useful.

What's new posts now go out after the change is live
We now publish a What's new post only once the change is actually in the portal. The post about the skills breakdown also says exactly where to look: open Career, then Job skills in demand, and see the By area section. The link under Job skills on the right side of the feed now reads See all job skills, by area.
- Fixed
Finished courses now show as completed
If you passed a course's assessment, the course now counts as done on Learn. It shows under Completed and no longer under In progress.
- Fixed
The shareable skills card now works
The Set up public profile button on the Make your verified skills shareable card now opens your profile, where you can make it public. When your profile is public, the card goes away by itself.
- Fixed
Notifications without a post no longer open What's new
If a notification about your shipped idea or bug report has no post to show, tapping it now only marks it as read. It no longer takes you to the What's new page.
- New
See which members helped build the portal
Open Feedback to see Shipped thanks to members, a list of members whose bug reports and ideas are now live. Posts in What's new can now show who suggested or reported each change. Tap a name to open that member's profile.
- Fixed
B2B SaaS is no longer listed as a skill
B2B SaaS is a type of company, not a skill, so it no longer shows in Job skills in demand. If job ads ask for B2B SaaS experience, try the new course SaaS business fundamentals on Learn.
- Fixed
No more reminders for messages you already read
Emails and push notifications no longer tell you about direct messages or chat messages you have already read in the portal.
- New
Formatting buttons for posts and chat
When you write a post, you now see B, I and </> buttons under the text box. Select text, then tap a button to make it bold, italic or code. In chat, the same buttons show on a computer.
- Improved
Open a mentor's profile before you ask
Open Connect and tap Mentorship. Under Find a mentor, tap a mentor's name or photo to see their full profile before you send a request.
- Fixed
Mentor suggestions now show active mentors
Find a mentor now only suggests mentors who have used the portal recently, so your request is more likely to get an answer. Each mentor shows how many spots are left. When you tap Request, you can add a short message.
- Fixed
SQL course setup works when you run it again
In the SQL & data analysis course, the setup code now works even if the tables already exist. You can run it again at any time to start over with fresh data.
- Fixed
Skills from your background now close gaps
On a career goal, Find what transfers from your background suggests skills from your work history. When you add them to your profile, they now count at the level the goal needs, so they leave your list of missing skills.
- Improved
Remote work course rewritten
We rewrote the Remote work best practices course on Learn. It has less filler and more practical advice. It also says there is no single right way to work from home, and that you can agree on what works with your team.
- New
Go from your career goal to a course
Open a goal on the Career tab and tap Start learning to go to a course for a skill you still need. On Learn, the For You tab now starts with courses for your goal.
- New
See which mentors cover the skills you want
Open Connect and tap Mentorship. Under Find a mentor, each mentor now shows which of your wanted skills they cover, for example "Covers 2 of your 3 skills". A mentor's profile also shows the skills they can help you with.
- New
Add a screenshot to your feedback
Open Feedback and tap Attach a screenshot to show us what you see. It works for both Report a Bug and Suggest a Feature, and it is optional.
- Improved
Tap your Learn numbers to see the courses
On Learn, the Completed, In progress and Skills earned boxes at the top now open the matching list when you tap them.
