How we write and publish on herizon.io. Last updated 31 October 2026.

Who writes

Most of the articles and newsletters on this site are written by the Herizon team. We write for readers who are new to Finland, so we explain terms, name the source of a claim and say when we do not know. We do not sell placements or promise jobs. Articles are written to inform readers, and we do not publish text whose main purpose is to promote a partner or a product.

Sources and dates

Numbers come from our own records and from public sources. The member counts on the about page are counted from members' work history, self-reports and monthly checks, and the method is public on the open data page. Job market figures come from the postings collected on tyomarkkinadata.fi and are described in the monthly labour market reports.

Each article carries its publication date. When the facts in it change, for example a program, a course or a figure, we update the text and keep the original date visible next to the date of the update.

Updates and corrections

If you find an error or an out-of-date detail, write to [email protected] or use the contact page. We check the claim against its source, correct the text and note the change on the page when it affects the meaning. A correction is made as soon as we have confirmed it.

AI assistance

We use AI tools to help with drafting, translation and editing. A person on the team reads, fact-checks and approves every text before it is published, and is responsible for what it says. Figures and quotes are checked against their sources and are not taken from AI output alone.

Sponsored content

We do not publish sponsored content unless it is clearly marked as sponsored at the top of the page. Partners and funders do not review or approve our research findings before publication. Links to programs, courses and employers are included because they are useful to readers, and a link is not an endorsement.

Guest posts

Guest posts name their author and are labelled as guest posts. We edit them for clarity and accuracy, and the views in them are the author's. The same rules for sources, dates and corrections apply to guest posts as to our own writing.
