What you will be able to do

Skills you add to your Herizon profile when you finish: Finnish, Job Search Strategies, Interview Preparation.

  • How Finnish job ads are structured, and how to tell a must-have from a nice-to-have before you apply
  • What a Finnish CV, application letter and short LinkedIn bio look like, with the verbs and set phrases to write them
  • How to email a recruiter, and what to say when they call you back
  • How a Finnish interview runs: small talk, the opener *kerro itsestäsi*, the standard questions and honest answers about your Finnish
  • How to state a salary request and end the interview well

Who it is for

Members whose Finnish is roughly A2 or above and who are applying for jobs in Finland. Every Finnish phrase comes with an English explanation. If you don't speak Finnish yet, start with a general beginner course first. This course teaches job-hunt Finnish, not Finnish from zero.

The situation you work through

Olena, a customer support specialist who moved from Kyiv to Helsinki, takes one Finnish job ad from first read to a booked interview, and builds the Finnish phrases for each step: the CV, the letter, the email, the callback call and the interview answers.

Your practice task

Pick a real job ad in Finnish and prepare your own Finnish for it. Submit four pieces: your three-paragraph hakemus with an honest language sentence and one example of your own, your email asking the recruiter one question before you apply, your spoken lines written out (the callback answer, the scheduling confirmation, a four-sentence kerro itsestäsi and a four-part answer to the language question), and your palkkatoive sentence with a researched range.
