Who it is for

People who want to switch careers and are curious about design. You need no design experience and no tools. If you like to understand people and solve problems, UX may suit you.

The situation you work through

Veera, a former salon receptionist in Helsinki, redesigns the booking flow of Salon Kaisla's app from six customer interviews to a prototype tested with five people, raising a 41% finish rate toward 60%.

Your practice task

Redesign one flow of a product you know, such as booking, checkout or sign-up. Interview at least three people who have used it, write a problem statement with evidence, make one persona and a journey map, sketch three versions of the key screen, build a clickable Figma prototype of four or five screens and test it with at least three people. Submit a one-page case study with your findings table and the link to your prototype.
